Engineers must examine closely the data sheets of any analog components they are considering buying, since data sheets are also product advertising. Data sheets for integrated circuits (ICs) such as op-amps and data converters have become long and verbose. These longer sheets can give readers valuable tips on how to use products, but they may also be confusing.
