Escaping the open 
into an empty 
haunted and left 
her husband dead in the halls of the Louvre; mile after mile 
 
began planting shrubs and a palisade across the river 
(Henri had a lover

the palace in the air is coming closer. Sometimes it ceases to be

and I see individual leaves 
hovering just beyond the window
