VIRGINIA BEACH -- VIRGINIA BEACH - James Quincy Parnell Jr. passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, after a long illness to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. James was born May 20, 1921, in his parent's house in Parkton, N.C. James was the second of four children born to Quincy and Clelia Parnell, and he was the oldest of three sons.

James was preceded in death by his father, John Quincy Parnell Sr.; his mother, Clelia Britt Parnell; his sister, Mary Leigh Watson; and a beloved nephew, Robert Earl Parnell. James is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol Parnell; ...
