Pathan hits unbeaten half century to take India to 143-3
New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) Irfan Pathan showcased his batting skills once again, scoring a confident half century as a make-shift opener to help India consolidate their position against Sri Lanka on the third day of the second cricket Test here today.
Pathan, taking over the opener's duty from skipper Rahul Dravid, hit an unbeaten 76 to push India to 143 for three in the second innings at tea at the Ferozeshah Kotla.
Dravid, coming in at number five, was 29 not out.
