Any artist who considers pissing on the Washington Monument an interesting analysis and critique of that national icon's function deserves a good long look, and that's what Los Angeles artist Sam Durant's ambitious second solo show in New York, titled "Proposal for White and Indian Dead Monument Transpositions, Washington, D.C.," provided.
