Alexis Stewart has just turned 40. And though she says it's a bigger deal for others than for her, it still presents problems--especially if you're not exactly sure what you want to do with your life.

"I never knew what I wanted to do, and sometimes I still feel that way. And I hate it," says Alexis, the only child of Martha Stewart. "In fact, I remain jealous of people who had this one burning vision. It would've been perfect if I'd been an oboist with this all-encompassing passion. When you have too many opportunities, you have too many choices, and it's terrible."
