Harold Lloyd was a modest man, slow to praise himself and quick to share credit. Once, when asked to describe his success, he merely answered, "I attribute my success to being born." Although he may have had an idea that he had contributed to the growth of the motion picture industry, he was not the kind of person to toot his own horn.
