Services were held recently at Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) in Indianapolis for Dr. Henderson Sheridan Davis, the father of Joy Communications President Lydia Davis Eady and whose 71 years of service as an ordained elder in the A.M.E. Church left a legacy of service and commitment to his denomination.

Eulogized as a great Christian gentleman and learned scholar who did not demand respect but commanded it, Dr. Davis, 92, succumbed at his Indianapolis home following a lengthy illness.
