ANGOLA -- BP has announced a ninth successful oil discovery in ultra-deepwater Block 31, Hebe-1, which follows earlier finds at Pluto, Saturno, Marte, Venus, Palas, Ceres, Juno and Astraea (PIW Aug.15,p6). Hebe-1 is located 16 km southwest of the earlier Ceres discovery and was drilled in a water depth of 2,008 meters some 361 km northwest of Luanda, reaching a total depth of 4,823 meters below sea level.
