Gerry Snyder is a painter who has been showing his work for more than 25 years. This intriguing exhibition featured semi-narrative scenes of expansive landscapes populated with anthropomorphic creatures rendered in oil on wood panel. Continuing his subversive modus operandi in these recent works, Snyder prompts us to reconsider the mythic, moral and often perversely irrational nature of ingrained cultural and religious histories.
