Nov. 8--The Fallen Timbers shopping center project in Maumee has faced eight years of design changes, governmental delays, and growing competition, but through it all, its developer has insisted the project is moving forward.

Now, General Growth Properties Inc., of Chicago, is offering one more guarantee that the Shops at Fallen Timbers outdoor "lifestyle" center will be built and will open on March 28, 2007.

It also is promising that steel will begin going up on the site in the early spring.
