ATF invites comment on alcoholic content ceiling for malt liquor. (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms)

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) has called for public comment on whether standards for alcoholic content should be adopted for malt liquor. According to the BATF, the invitation is in response to recent petitioners who have contended that malt liquor contributes to drug abuse. A petition from 21 organizations asked the BATF to help "curb drug abuse" by establishing a malt liquor standard, with a maximum alcohol content of five percent.
