LONDON -- Edwin, Japan's top-selling designer denim company, has opened its first European flagship, an 800-square-foot unit at 56 Neal Street in Covent Garden here.

"It was essential for us to open our flagship store in Europe, as it's the biggest growing market for the Edwin brand," said Mille Monferin, Edwin Europe AG's president and chief executive. "London, and more specifically Covent Garden, sums up the attitude of our product: a place where the alternative seamlessly blends with the commercial and international scenes."
