New Delhi, Nov 1 (PTI) Lt Gen Deepak Harishchandra Summanwar, the Director General of Military Intelligence, has taken over as Colonel of Rajputana Rifles.

He took over the post from Maj Gen Rakesh Das at an impressive ceremony at RAJ RIF Regimental Centre yesterday, a Defence Ministry spokesman said.
Commissioned in 1968 in RAJ RIF, Summanwar has taken part in all operations since 1971 where he was mentioned in despatches in the heroic battle of Longewala. He was commended by the Army Chief for his role in Operation Pawan and awarded Vishisht Seva ...
