BJ's Wholesale Club taps into bulk energy source -- the sun.

Oct. 28--WILTON -- The sun didn't even show up Thursday for an event in its honor.

Nevertheless, a crowd of solar energy fans came out to take a look at a system installed on the roof of BJ's Wholesale Club on Route 50 that will allow the store to produce all of its own energy -- and then some.

By working with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the Conservation Services Group Sun Power Electric division, BJ's was able to install a photovoltaic power system atop its store.
