A RACE against time to complete a new multi-million pound car park in time for the Christmas shopping rush in Liverpool has been won.

The new car park, facing the Merseyside Police Headquarters in Canning Place, is scheduled to open before Christmas.

The opening of the car park will coincide with the closure of the multi-storey NCP car park in Paradise Street.

That will be demolished to make room for new shops and leisure facilities as part of the pounds 920m, 42-acre ...
