The Center for Women's Global Leadership launched a series of hearings on the violation of women's human rights aimed at generating inputs for the UN Commission on Human Rights preparatory to the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights. Women's rights activists are expected to testify to incidents of political and civil rights violations which would include the existence of laws against equal ity and citizenship, discrimination in the legal system and government-condoned degrading treatment.
