New Delhi, Oct 21 (PTI) The wars of words between Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and India's second largest software exporter Infosys Technologies entered a new phase today with the company issuing point by point rebuttal of the allegations of land grabing against it.

On the allegations that Infosys and other IT companies have been indiscriminately allotted land in Karnataka, the company said it had been allotted 397 acres of land which has either been utilised or is being utilised to beef up capacity.
"The state government norms allow a Fixed Area Ratio of 1.5 and land cover of 30 per cent we have built our campuses within these norms," Infosys said in a statement here.
