WREXHAM manager Denis Smith last night welcomed the Racecourse Ground ruling as a great step forward but warned the club must still find a new owner to ensure its long-term survival.

A judge at Birmingham High Court yesterday found against club owner Alex Hamilton and declared that ownership of Wrexham's stadium should revert to the club's administrators.

The Dragons boss admitted the news would ease uncertainty at the club and revealed his hope that a breakthrough could now be found in the search for a new owner.
