Oct. 18--Boston Store is still for sale, but Saks Inc. Chairman Brad Martin declined to disclose details on the status of the search for a buyer during a conference call with analysts Monday.

Saks, the Birmingham, Ala., parent to Boston Store and Younkers, reported second-quarter results Monday, after a long delay. The company held off on releasing its financial report while it was under investigation by its own audit committee into alleged improper demands for markdown money from vendors.
