Have there been any substantial changes in the category over the past year?

BRUCE KNOBELOCH: The spinach sales growth rate continues to accelerate with sales up 13.5% this year versus last year. Consumers are responding to the expansion of variety within the category. A few years ago the choices were flat leaf or curly leaf, then baby spinach came along. Now there are numerous spinach blends, spinach kits and easy-to-prepare microwave spinach. This enables consumers to enjoy spinach in many new and unique flavor profiles, fresh or cooked.
