Niani Knight, 10, of Syracuse, walked out after Saturday's National Women's Hall of Fame ceremony filled with stories of achievements by the 10 inductees.
"I learned a lot about other people that back then were creating something," she said. "It was fun."
Among those inducted into the hall this year were U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., and Mother Marianne Cope, who left Syracuse after establishing hospitals there and in Utica to care for lepers in Hawaii. Mother Cope was beatified earlier this year. ...
