Nuclear proliferation should not provoke the US and South Korea to military action. A new Korean war would be brutally destructive, and unfair, because several US 'allies' such as Pakistan, Israel and South Africa also have 'secret' atomic caches.

Whenever a Third World country on the U.S. enemies' list comes close to acquiring a clear weapon, apoplexy breaks out in Washington, quickly followed by chest-thumping for a pre-emptive strike.
