Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 3, his depiction of nature as representative of the divine, takes up a whole concert program with five movements so beautiful they carry the listener along, enthralled to the end.

The Seattle Symphony gives it three performances next week, with the great Polish contralto Ewa Podles, the Northwest Boychoir, and the women of the Seattle Symphony Chorale joining the orchestra in the last two movements.
