Oct. 1--BANGALORE, India -- Roping in a foreign partner is the new trend in the mutual fund industry. After the entry of Societe Generale in SBI MF, Chola Mutual Fund is gearing up to bring in DBS of Singapore as a partner.
The Singapore-based bank would become an equal partner in Chola Mutual Fund along with the Indian partner, Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd (CIFCL).
According to Tridib Pathak, chief investment officer of Chola Mutual Fund, the fund would also be rechristened and would become DBS Chola Mutual Fund.
