Stacey Petrosino, 47, of Auburn, founded RISE, or Reaching & Inspiring Survivors Everywhere, in 2001, which is a breast cancer group. Petrosino was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. For her efforts, Petrosino will be honored with the Auburn Human Rights Commission's volunteer award at 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. RISE will be holding events over the weekend to raise awareness and show support for survivors of breast cancer. Petrosino has been busy pinning pink ribbons on trees throughout the city.
