LeTourneau Inc., the Longview, Texas, manufacturer of wheeled loaders for coal, iron ore, copper and precious metal mining applications, is offering a new drive system for its 40-ton rated L-1350 diesel electric loader. The switched reluctance (SR) drive is standard on the new Pit Bull L-950 model loader and D-950 wheeled dozer and is designed to provide faster loading cycles, extended maintenance intervals, reduced downtime and enhanced reliability, the company said.
