27 SEPTEMBER 2005 PORT MORESBY (Pacnews) - Papua New Guinea's National Capital District Commission will promote Port Moresby as the language capital of the world.
City Manager Peter Loko said with Port Moresby being home to all the ethnic groups in the country, the commission will use that to promote the 867 languages as a marketing tool to bring tourists to the country.
Mr Loko's mission is to transform Port Moresby as the best in the Pacific region although he acknowledged the enormous task involved.
