Texas Instruments Inc (TI) introduces its TEC320C25A configurable digital signal processor (DSP). The chip's design is based on 16-bit fixed-point and 32-bit floating-point DSPs plus configurable application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). It consists of a TI TMS320C25 chip that is extended and combined with a TI TGC1000 gate array, giving engineers 15k of gates configurable for custom logic.
