NEW YORK -- The Lancaster Group of Weisbaden, Germany, is negotiating for office space in midtown Manhattan to house an international marketing staff of 100 to 120 people by the end of next year, according to sources.
The operation -- which will do the global marketing for Lancaster's prestige brands like Davidoff, Wolfgang Joop and Jil Sander -- will be headed by Dr. Peter Harf, chief executive officer of Lancaster and chairman and chief executive officer of the firm's German parent, Joh. A. Benckiser GmbH.
