GREENSBORO -- The guests wore their finest sequined dresses and tuxedos. The featured guests were two of the most famous American politicians of the past decade.

But Bennett College was the belle of the ball.

More than 700 people attended the $500-a-person benefit gala for Bennett College -- which President Johnnetta Cole referred to as "a small college with a mighty mission" -- Wednesday night at the Grandover Resort.
