GREEN BAY -- In the beginning, Brett Favre never knew what to say. Their phone conversation would be ending, and just before hanging up, Reggie White's deep voice would bellow.

"I love you, Brett," he'd say.

"The first time he ever said that, I was like, OK, whatever you say, Reggie,' " Favre recalled, complete with a spot-on White impersonation and a re-enactment of his quizzical facial expression upon hearing White say those three little words.
