LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE, Belgium, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Albemarle Corporation , a leading manufacturer of potassium hydroxide and other potassium-based derivatives, will increase the minimum prices of potassium hydroxide 50-percent (alkalinity) solution and potassium hydroxide flakes, effective October 1, 2005, or as contracts and sales agreements allow.

Albemarle will increase the minimum price of potassium hydroxide 50- percent solution to Euro 300 per metric ton delivered Western Europe to major customers.
