Bethel coach Steve Johnson appreciates the workload that running back Phil Porta has carried the past two seasons.

This season, Johnson wants to appreciate Porta a little less by utilizing a more varied offense.

"We try to get him the ball in a variety of ways," Johnson said. "Keying on Phil had to be done. I felt that last year we were too run-dominated in our calls. Some of that had to do with injuries, and some had to do with the sure thing we had in our running game."
