SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean research team's validation of a theory about electricity conduction in insulating materials could open new horizons for the next generation of transistors, scientists here said Friday. The reported breakthrough by Kim Hyun-tak, a senior researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), was a major achievement in physics by proving the theory of properties of metals and alloys.
