Harold Roy Rood a longtime resident of Palatine

Visitation for Harold Roy Rood, 80, formerly of Elmhurst, will be from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. today, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Born April 9, 1925, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Rosewood Care Center in Northbrook. Mr. Rood was a World War II Army veteran and the recipient of two Bronze Battle Stars. He was a former owner of a small grocery store in Elmhurst and later ...
