OUR FIRST STUDY on the use of cellular and cordless telephones and the risk for brain tumors indicated an increased risk for tumors appearing on the same side (ipsilateral) as the use of a cellular phone. (1,2) The results were based on fairly low numbers (90% of participating cases [n = 209] and 91% of participating controls [n = 425]), so we performed a larger casecontrol study on the same issue.
