Clerestory 
 
   5th Ave's fierce intermingling, 
      jostle & surge 
        of selfhood, each of us 
   a fraction of rush hour's 
      1,000-footed god. Such anonymous 
   intimacy, the way we're thrust 
 
   against another's skin, 
      & I'm as good as lashed 
          to a man 
   tattooed wrist to wrist with an eclectic 
      collage: no anchor or arrow-pierced 
   heart, but flames sprouting 
 
   wings, a swatch of roiled clouds, 
      a strange triumvirate 
          of hammer, 
   saw & candle. Who could 
      (or could possibly want 
   to) thieve this anarchic ...
