A NORTH Wales family last night paid tribute to a diver who disappeared while exploring a wrecked warship.

Linda Pembroke, a former pupil of Ysgol Dinas Bran, Llangollen, failed to surface after diving off the coast of southern England.

The family of the 48-year-old were last night planning a memorial service in Pontfadog, near Chirk, where she grew up.
