Aug. 24--ROSINE -- Marlene Morris, postmaster of what became the Bill Monroe Post Office Tuesday morning, gives a lot of directions.

To the "father of bluegrass music" Bill Monroe's home place, up on Jerusalem Ridge.

To his gravesite and the monument in his memory at the Rosine Cemetery.

To the home of "Uncle Pen," who taught Monroe to play his famous mandolin.

The post office "is more like a tourist center" for the Monroe fans who come from all over the world, Morris said. "They cherish these places."
