Boon Edam Tomsed Inc. was formed on April 6,2005 through the merger of Tomsed Corporation and its three business units, TOMSED, Safesec and Intertex Barriers and Booths, into the Royal Boon Edam Group.

Boon Edam was founded in the Netherlands in 1873 as a carpentry shop and began producing revolving doors in 1903, and during the ensuing century grew to become the largest revolving door manufacturer in the world.
