A TEACHER jailed for firing an air pistol during a stand-off with yobs is to claim unfair dismissal after losing her job, her union announced today.

Linda Walker, aged 48, was dismissed from her pounds 30,000 a year teaching job in May after a disciplinary hearing before education bosses in Salford, Greater Manchester.

She lost an appeal against her sacking from New Park High in Eccles, Salford, last month.
