Gotham-based production banner Holedigger Films has sold North American rights to Craig Lucas' "The Dying Gaul" to indie distrib Strand Releasing and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Pic marks feature helming debut for playwright Lucas ("The Eight in the Piazza").

New Films Intl. has come aboard to rep overseas rights, and Palisades Pictures has come into the deal with P&A backing for domestic release.
