THE monitoring committee for the US Sales Integrity Program announced on Friday that it has decided to postpone the implementation of mandatory disclosure at public sales of acceptable veterinary practices.

The mandatory disclosure rule is part of the SIP's Code of Ethics drawn up last year by a cross-section of industry representatives. The SIP itself was formed in response to complaints from some major buyers that public bloodstock auctions lacked transparency.
