Government reports early success for abstinence education programs.

Abstinence education programs appear to be achieving some measure of success among their youngest enrollees, as a new interim government report shows elementary and middle school students in such programs are more receptive to the no-sex message and have more negative attitudes toward teen sex.

The study found "limited evidence," however, that these students are more willing to remain abstinent as unmarried teenagers.
