Mike Sansoe has found his happy place - a large patch of green grass just beyond second base.
There, out in center field, Sansoe is not only playing sterling defense for the Eugene Emeralds, he's also hitting nearly twice as well as he does when manning another position. Sansoe is hitting .330 when he plays center field for the Ems this season, and just .143 as a left fielder and designated hitter, entering the Emeralds' return to Civic Stadium tonight at 7:05 for the opener of a five-game series with Yakima.
