A corner of Wales where the percentage of manufacturing jobs is nearly three times the UK average could see its prosperity hit hard by future changes in the sector.
In Flintshire 35% of all jobs are in manufacturing and the county is better off than the Welsh average.
But today county councillors will be told underlying weaknesses in the area's economy leave it vulnerable to future job losses in manufacturing.
