Jul. 26--St. Louis Variety, best known for its annual telethons to support area children's programs, is expected to break ground today for a $2 million playground in Forest Park specifically designed to serve both disabled and nondisabled youngsters.

Planners say the playground will be built just east of the History Museum and immediately west of the park's Dennis and Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center.
