Jul. 14--Setting rivalries aside, Dallas and Fort Worth tourism officials have teamed up to raise interest in the region among potential visitors around the U.S. and abroad.

The five-year "Visit Dallas Fort Worth" campaign, launched Wednesday with $500,000 in financing, represents the first sustained effort by the cities to create a unified brand identity outside the region.
