Her mother's cheerful yet persistent tone startled 16-year-old Kebekah Galloway, lost as she was in conversation with the handsome Shawnee chief, Tecumseh.

Tecumseh was a frequent guest at the Galloway house in chillicothe, Ohio, where he and Rebekah spent Long hours in her father's library, reading shakespeare, the Bible, and short stories from America's history.
